The Eagles achieved the tennis equivalent of a baseball no-hitter on Wednesday afternoon in the opening round of the Delta Sectional.

Delta beat Muncie Central 5-0 and won every position 6-0, 6-0 for a perfect 60-0 sweep.

This is a rarity that has happened only three times in the 35-year coaching career of Coach Cleland. This spans more than 1,400 matches.

Delta improved its record to 14-6 and took the first step toward a possible 32nd consecutive sectional championship.

Yorktown and Muncie Burris will play at 4:45 p.m. Thursday in a semifinal match.  The winner will face Delta at 11 a.m. Saturday in the championship match.
