The Eagles limited Madison County champion Alexandria to just eight total games in the five varsity positions in a 5-0 sweep at the Alexandria courts Thursday night.
Gabby Knight, Elizabeth Bamidele and Brylee Beckley won in singles. Kelsey Vest/Katie Manor and Rowan Hinds/Alexa Bratton won in doubles.
Alexandria has won six straight Madison County titles and entered the match with a 5-0 record. But the Tigers were not able to match the firepower of 22nd-ranked Delta (3-2).
In JV action, Delta won 11-4 as everyone got to play.
