19th-ranked West Lafayette and 31st-ranked Delta locked horns in a tight battle Saturday morning in the opening round of the Kokomo Invitational.  In the end, the Red Devils emerged with a 3-2 victory.

One highlight for Delta came at No. 1 doubles, where senior Brandon Jackson and freshman Dalton Royal won 3-6, 6-1, (12-10) in an exciting match.  Royal was filling in for regular No. 1D player Walker Boyle, who will be out for several days.

Junior Adam Altobella played perhaps his finest match of the season in a 6-2, 6-3 victory at No. 3 singles.

The JV beat West Lafayette 4-3 with Mason Wrisley and Colin McCrady winning singles matches and Aidan Landis/Riley Bratton and Landon Freiburger/Logan Anderson winning in doubles.
