Playing indoors at the Muncie YMCA Tennis Center, the Eagles smothered Greenfield-Central 5-0 for their 12th straight victory.

Elizabeth Bamidele led the way at No. 2 singles with a 6-0, 6-0 victory.  Kelsey Vest and Katie Manor won by the same score at No. 1 doubles.

Gabby Knight yielded only one game at No. 1 singles.  Rowan Hinds and Alexa Bratton won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 doubles.  And Olivia Marshall picked up a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 3 singles in her second varsity match.

Brylee Beckley, the Eagles’ No. 2 singles player, missed the match due to illness.

The JV team won 5-3 as several team members played indoor tennis for the first time ever.

The Eagles will finish the regular season with back-to-back trips to Mt. Vernon courts for matches this weekend.  20th-ranked Delta (14-2) faces 14th-ranked Center Grove at 5:45 p.m. Friday, then returns for a 10 a.m. Saturday match against Shelbyville.  The sectional begins next Wednesday.
