The boys’ tennis team took a big step toward a fourth consecutive Hoosier Heritage Conference championship on Wednesday evening with a 4-1 road victory at Greenfield-Central. The Eagles moved to 5-3 overall and 4-0 in the HHC.
For the second straight night, senior Eli Arnold gutted out a three-set victory at No. 3 singles. Senior Adam Altobella and junior Owen Vest completed the singles sweep for the Eagles.
Senior Walker Boyle and sophomore Dalton Royal dominated a strong opponent at No. 1 doubles.
The JV team won 9-8 and now stands 6-1 on the season.
The 27th-ranked Eagles will compete Saturday in the Kokomo Invitational against South Bend Riley, Kokomo and West Lafayette.
