The Delta boys’ tennis team opened its dual meet season with a 5-0 shutout of Muncie Central on the road Wednesday evening,

The Bearcats managed to win only five games in the match.

Delta, ranked 27th, dominated from start to finish. Tanner Southerland, Brandon Jackson and Daniel Vencel won in singles, and Cade Brown/Mason Knight and Josef Zacek/Devin McKinley won in doubles.

The JV team gained a 4-0 victory over Muncie Central. Logan Anderson and Ross Meacham won in singles, and Riley Bratton/Colin McCrady won in doubles.

Delta will play a doubleheader on Saturday with a 10 a.m. home match against Shelbyville, followed by a 3 p.m. road match at 29th-ranked Culver Military Academy.
