Delta’s recent 5-0 shutout of longtime rival Homestead was the first time the Eagles have ever blanked the Spartans in boys’ tennis. The two teams have met 25 times over the past two decades. Homestead (along with Munster one of the top two tennis powerhouses in the Northern half of Indiana) won the first nine matches against Delta. Since that time, Delta owns a 9-7 advantage in the series.
